About International Hospital school of Nursing

The current status of nursing in India is very low. The Existing nurse to population ratio in India is 1:7000, the ideal ratio should be 1:2250. There is a need of approximately three lakh more nurses to meet the deficit in the Indian health care system.

With a deep sense of responsibility to the society as a whole and to reduce the need gap of nurses, the International Hospital a unit of Assam Hospitals Ltd has set up the nursing School in the name and style of “International Hospital School of Nursing “

The school is fully equipped with modern teaching aids, demonstration rooms, and practice material, Audio-visual aids such as anatomy models, charts, over head projector etc. The nursing school is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. And Assam State Nursing Council.

Courses

General Nursing & Midwifery Diploma Course (GNM)

Maximum Intact Capacity : 40

Duration Of Course:

The Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery shall be of 3½ years duration. There will be a pre-professional period of 12 weeks. During this time the students will be introduced to basic Science like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Languages – English & Assamese. After successful completion of this period students will be introduced with the professional nursing course.

Eligibility:
Female Candidates – 17 to 35 years of age
Academic Qualification: 10+2 Preferably with 45 % in aggregate from any stream.

Selection Procedure:

  • Preliminary scrutinization of application forms.
  • A written admission test of 100 marks.
  • A personal interview & medical examination
  • The syllabus and the curriculum are designed by the Indian Nursing Council. The Assam State nursing council is the examining council for the school. The school is recognized by both the council.

    This institute is very low class institute
    They have big name like international school hospital in Guwahati but they not have any respond to any student after course of your exam you will not get any job like other institute they can’t take responsibility so why you all are taking admission on this institute don’t waste your money
    I have lost my daughter 3 years GNM course from this institute still now she is sitting at home not getting job I request you all my dear parents please don’t waste your daughter time they will not gave a certificate from school until your results come out but other institute give to them all students
