Baruah Bhavan Guest House

Baruah Bhavan which is a relic of the past is a quaint Assamese styled mansion with an old world charm and is in existence for over a century with progressive re-constructions and renovations over the years. It is an Assamese dwelling and a heritage home of Guwahati which has been transformed into an ethnic styled modern guest house on the first floor. The guest house has six (6) luxurious suites with dressing rooms, air-conditioners, television sets and tiled bathrooms fitted with bathtubs and all other modern amenities. Home cooked meals are provided which include genuine Assamese cuisine.

Baruah Bhavan is ideally located in the heart of the city, in the vicinity of the General Post Office, Guwahati High Court, Guwahati Railway Station, Cotton College, St. Mary’s Convent School, Mercantile Banks, Markets, Shopping Complexes, etc. It is only a three minute walk from the promenade along the banks of the River Brahmaputra. On the roof top there is a picturesque terrace garden with a breathtaking view and several lawns with colourful gardens below. There is adequate space for parties, conferences and car parking within the premises. Internet and secretarial services are available in the office on the ground level. The office also provides transport on hire for local sight seeing and to any destination in the Northeast. Expert travel guides well experienced in wild life are also available for touring Kaziranga and the Northeast. The services of connections with laptops and computers are also available in the office.
